GUIDO ECO project

The project aims to implement prototypes of two new innovative tools for the sustainable mobility sector:

1. A new product/service consisting of a system (called 'ECO Assistant') made up of software, firmware, and hardware components, through which the following objectives can be achieved:

Establish an objective correlation between, on the one hand, driving behaviors and trim parameters, and on the other hand, fuel consumption (fuel and/or battery) and CO2 emissions

enable a new method of certifying both fuel consumption and CO2 emissions (carbon footprint), for any type of vehicle, on the (objective) basis of the parameters acquired during the routes driven, so that new services can be defined for both companies (calculation of carbon footprint) and public administrations (definition a new mode of "pass" for emission-controlled zones; e.g.: ZTL)

2. A new product consisting of a specialized version of a satellite navigator (called 'Waste Operator Navigator') tailored for the waste collection sector, enabling industry operators to optimize collection routes by taking into account heuristics and events gathered by a dedicated "optimization engine".

The first of these two systems will lead to the realization of a new system that Sistematica will be able to add to its offer for the automotive sector, to be proposed either autonomously (as a stand-alone product), or as an additional component to be integrated into existing "fleet management" platforms, starting with the platform that is already being developed by Sistematica SpA, in order to provide a specific declination aimed precisely at the provision of the new categories of vertical functionalities listed above.The second object (the verticalized satellite navigator for the "waste collection" sector) is aimed at operators in the sector, and may be proposed to the market in collaboration with ASM TERNI (the municipalized company of the Municipality of Terni), which has given its willingness to experiment with this type of navigator.

The collaborative project

The Collaborative R&D Project “CO2 for Less CO2” is an ambitious initiative that integrates two separate projects, Guido ECO and DRAIV, each of which addresses different aspects related to reducing CO2 emissions and improving energy efficiency through technological innovation and process optimization.

The vision of “CO2 for less CO2” is that of an integrated approach to sustainability, combining innovation in driver assistance, waste collection route optimization, and sustainable mobility. The main goal is to reduce the carbon footprint and improve energy efficiency through innovative solutions that can be applied across various sectors. The collaboration among the different proponents aims to create synergies, optimize resources, and accelerate the achievement of sustainability objectives.

The Guido ECO project focuses on developing solutions for more sustainable mobility and aims to optimize transportation routes while promoting the use of low-impact vehicles. The technologies developed in this field may include advanced navigation systems, applications for intelligent traffic management, and platforms for sharing eco-friendly vehicles.

The DRAIV project focuses on creating a virtual driving assistant that uses artificial intelligence to analyze driving style and provide suggestions for reducing emissions, incorporating advanced language models and deep learning algorithms. It also aims to improve road safety and promote more responsible and less polluting driving behaviors.
